We Had a Good Run…

We did.

When all was said and done, we had 50 truly tremendous supporters of this project willing to donate what money they could to make this the best sci-fi flick ever. We just couldn’t pull it off.

So, thank you all for your wonderful support. In the second worst economical time in United States history, you were unselfishly willing to hand over what you could to try and help us out. For that, I am greatly appreciative and think you deserve a movie. Unfortunately, sci-fi movies are costly.

But, let’s look on the bright side of it all. There are options to this thing. Can we make it for less? Are there alternate routes to raising money that would better suit this project? Would people be interested in a comic book or graphic novel version? Why not go ahead and make it a feature? What exactly is the future of The Second Rat?

Well, I’m going to take a breather for a bit. The last few months have been a roller coaster, and I need to regroup, recupe, and think about it all. Who knows what the future has in store. It could all be rainbows and recovery, or a zombie apocalypse. I do know one thing. I will keep on keeping on, and as my fellow writing alumni say at USC, I will Write On!

Thank you all, each and every one of you for your support and faith in this project. Here’s to its bright future. The story is too good to sit and collect dust. It will rise like the phoenix that it is and move in front of your eyes on a screen near you someday. I just hope that I get a chance to help bring it to you.

We’re Movin’ On Up

We’ve had (9) Backers donate this weekend, alone to The Second Rat. We’re now at about 15% of our total goal. Stats say that all projects that get to at least 30% with a week out, or more, have a 90% chance of completely succeeding. Can we get it to 30% tonight? Please help, and spread the word. We can’t do this project without all of you!

We’re Down to the Last Week! Donate Now.

We are down to the last week to raise funds for The Second Rat! Now is the time to donate.

We’re still hovering around the 11% area, but I believe we can still pull it off if we can just rally the troops. So, from here on out, everyone gets a limited edition, hand-numbered poster print of this very cool Matthew Perry rendition of the Vegas Breakdown scene from the short story:
